Greetings from my Bangkok hospital bed. Due to increasing back pain during the night, I went to see my doctor here in Bangkok who made some more x-rays and compared them to x-rays from two years ago. Little change except for the effects of old age. The night thing was indicative of a tumour so the same day I had an MRI scan, which clearly showed the tumour. I had it removed and today I am about to have my stitches out. Finding the tumour and having the operation was very good news because the lack of sleep was becoming too much. This type of tumour usually comes from the nerves in the spine and it was a question of how the nerves were attached to the tumour and how safely the tumour could be removed without affecting the nerves. This type of tumour is usually benign and it was later proved to be so. Anyway, I had full confidence in my doctors in Bangkok and they did an excellent job. After the operation, there was no apparent damage to any muscle movement and no numbness anywhere. Well, nothing that Viagra won't take care of. The operation was a complete success and solved a problem which I had for a long time. |
